Catalio Capital Management Seeks $500 Million for AI Healthcare Fund
Catalio Capital Management is raising $500 million for its Nexus V fund to invest in artificial intelligence healthcare startups, accelerating the launch from 2027.
Catalio Capital Management is seeking to raise $500 million for its Nexus V fund, which will target artificial intelligence startups within the healthcare sector. The venture capital firm accelerated the fund's launch from 2027 to capitalize on rapid AI-driven innovation. As part of the transition, five existing investments, including Basecamp Research and Doctronic, will be rolled into the new fund.
The firm is building on a period of significant liquidity and growth. Catalio closed its previous fund in July 2025 with over $400 million, allocating 40% of that portfolio to companies with AI exposure. This year, the firm sold three portfolio companies for more than $8 billion and took seven companies public. Notable recent debuts include the $150 million IPO of Iambic Therapeutics and the $745 million IPO of Parabilis Medicines Inc. in June.
Catalio operates with the backing of KKR & Co. Inc., which acquired a minority stake in the firm in 2023.
