Adobe Commits $4 Billion to Expand AI Access in Saudi Arabia
Adobe partnered with Saudi Arabia's MCIT and HUMAIN to provide free generative AI tools to 27 million residents and develop a culturally tuned image model.
Adobe entered an expanded artificial intelligence partnership with Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and HUMAIN, committing over $4 billion in value to increase generative AI access across the Kingdom. Announced at LEAP 2026, the initiative provides more than 27 million eligible Saudi citizens and residents aged 13 and older with 12 months of free access to Adobe Firefly Standard and Adobe Express Premium features by the end of 2026.
As part of the agreement, Adobe and HUMAIN will use Adobe Firefly Foundry to jointly develop a generative AI image model specifically tuned to Saudi cultural context and visual references. Adobe also introduced Modern Standard Arabic right-to-left support for Adobe Express globally to improve accessibility for Arabic speakers.
Starting in early 2027, Adobe will provide free creative tools and training to eligible startups through the Center of Digital Entrepreneurship and The Garage. The partnership further includes free practical learning programs via the Adobe Digital Academy to develop AI and marketing skills. Shantanu Narayen stated the partnership could accelerate Saudi Arabia’s creative economy, while Tareq Amin emphasized the necessity of AI understanding the context in which it operates.
