Stand With Crypto Endorses 32 Congressional Candidates

Stand With Crypto, an advocacy group backed by Coinbase, endorsed 32 incumbent congressional candidates on August 24 ahead of the November midterm elections. The group is targeting lawmakers who voted to pass the Clarity Act in the House of Representatives, a bill the industry argues provides essential legal clarity but which currently remains stalled in the Senate.

Endorsements include Republicans Tom Emmer, Bill Huizenga, Juan Ciscomani, and Brian Fitzpatrick, alongside Democrats Ritchie Torres and Josh Gottheimer. Executive Director Mason Lynaugh stated the 2026 campaign aims to prove that crypto advocates constitute a voting bloc capable of influencing election outcomes.

This initiative follows a 2024 cycle where the industry spent $170 million to support candidates, contributing to the passage of the Genius Act regarding stablecoins. The crypto sector has already invested nearly $200 million into the current midterm elections, primarily through the Fairshake super PAC.
