Luxury Homeware Brand Designers Guild Limited Enters Administration

Designers Guild Limited, a luxury UK homeware brand founded in 1970, entered administration and ceased trading on September 24, 2026. The company's founder, Tricia Guild, and CEO Simon Jeffreys attributed the collapse to rising costs and a difficult trading environment.

The closure puts 93 jobs at risk, with most employees expected to be made redundant. This insolvency follows a period of restructuring 16 months prior, when Tricia Guild licensed the brand back from the retailer Dunelm.

Rick Harrison and Howard Smith of Interpath have been appointed as joint administrators. They will oversee the winding-down process and manage the company's remaining stock and assets. Harrison described the closure as tremendously sad given the brand's 50-year history as one of the most recognized names in UK interior design.
