Texas Roadhouse Reports Second-Quarter Revenue Growth to $1.68 Billion

Texas Roadhouse reported second-quarter revenue of $1.68 billion, driven by record weekly sales despite a slight dip in earnings per share.

Texas Roadhouse Inc. reported second-quarter total revenue of $1.68 billion, marking an 11% increase from the previous year. Comparable restaurant sales rose 6.2%, exceeding consensus estimates of 5.9%. The company attributed this growth to strong traffic trends and record average weekly sales.

Despite the revenue surge, diluted earnings per share fell 0.7% to $1.85. The company cited higher general and administrative expenses along with increased depreciation and amortization as the primary causes for the decline. While restaurant margin dollars rose 6.9% to $275 million, labor expenses and inflation continued to pressure overall margins.

Looking forward, the company lowered its 2026 commodity price outlook to a 5% increase, down from a previous forecast of 6% to 7%. This adjustment follows expectations that beef prices will improve after peaking in the second quarter.
