TeraWulf Secures Google Credit Support for Kentucky AI Campus
TeraWulf Inc. partnered with Google and Fluor Enterprises to finance and build a 401-megawatt data center campus in Kentucky for AI firm Anthropic.
TeraWulf Inc. secured credit support agreements with Google LLC to facilitate debt financing for its Justified Data Campus in Hawesville, Kentucky. This financial backstop supports approximately $19 billion in contracted lease commitments with Anthropic, PBC, which signed a 20-year lease for the infrastructure in July.
The campus is designed to support roughly 401 megawatts of critical IT load, with initial capacity expected to come online in the second half of 2027. To manage the build, TeraWulf executed a definitive engineering, procurement, and construction agreement with Fluor Enterprises, Inc. on a guaranteed maximum pricing basis. Fluor will oversee the development of three data center buildings, with phased completions scheduled from late 2027 through the second quarter of 2028.
Company executives stated that Google's investment-grade credit and Fluor's construction capacity allow TeraWulf to scale execution and secure competitive long-term debt without building an internal global construction organization.
