Roblox Faces Class Action Lawsuit Over Age-Check Disclosures
Hagens Berman Sobol Shapiro LLP is investigating Roblox Corporation for allegedly misleading investors about the negative impact of its age-verification rollout.
The law firm Hagens Berman Sobol Shapiro LLP is leading a securities class action investigation into Roblox Corporation regarding alleged violations of federal securities laws. The investigation focuses on whether the company misled investors about the adverse consequences of its age-check verification rollout, which began in November 2025.
The firm alleges that Roblox failed to disclose that the rollout caused a reduction in app store ratings and a decline in organic sign-ups. Following an announcement of plans for global enhanced age verification on October 30, 2025, the company's stock price fell 16%, resulting in a loss of $13 billion in market value.
By April 30, 2026, Roblox reported a deceleration in daily active user growth and lowered its 2026 bookings growth midpoint from 24% to 10%. The class period for the litigation covers investors who acquired common stock between October 31, 2024, and April 30, 2026. The deadline for lead plaintiffs to come forward is August 7, 2026.
