Bunge Beats Q3 Profit Estimates on Strong Oilseed Margins
Bunge reported third-quarter adjusted profits of $2.56 per share, exceeding Wall Street estimates due to strong soybean processing margins and increased grain sales.
Bunge reported third-quarter adjusted profits of $2.56 per share, surpassing Wall Street expectations of $2.44 per share. The Missouri-based grain trader attributed the results to strong processing margins for soybeans and other oilseeds, which drove soybean processing and refining net sales up 5.4% year-on-year to $11.4 billion.
The company noted that U.S. corn and soybean prices surged following U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran, prompting Midwest farmers to accelerate their grain sales. In Brazil, a currency drop following an election similarly accelerated farmer sales and reduced some of the company's operational costs.
Bunge maintained its 2026 earnings per share outlook between $9.25 and $9.75. The company expects vegetable oil demand to remain strong into next year, driven by tight supplies and biofuel blending mandates.
