Emeka Ike Sues Lere Olayinka Over INEC Data Breach

Emeka Ike, a Nollywood actor and House of Representatives aspirant for the Nigeria Democratic Congress, has initiated legal proceedings against Lere Olayinka, the media aide to FCT Minister Nyesom Wike. The lawsuit follows a breach of personal data sourced from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Ike described the leak as an abuse of power and an act of political radicalism, stating that the exposure of his information left him feeling insecure and unsafe. In response to the breach, his legal counsel issued formal communications to Olayinka, INEC, the Nigeria Democratic Congress, the Department of State Services, and the police to document the incident and prepare for litigation.
