John Fetterman More Popular With Republicans Than David McCormick

A joint poll conducted by the New York Times, the Philadelphia Inquirer, and Siena University shows that John Fetterman is now more popular among Republicans in Pennsylvania than the state's sitting Republican Senator, David McCormick. While Fetterman's overall favorability remains steady at 46 percent, 73 percent of Republicans now view him favorably, compared to only 22 percent of Democrats.

This shift follows Fetterman's public critiques of fellow Democrats and his consistent support for Israel during the war in Gaza. These positions have alienated his own party, with 63 percent of Democrats now viewing him negatively. Many Democratic critics cite his perceived support for Israel and Donald Trump as primary points of contention.

Despite the surge in Republican support and the creation of a joint fund-raising committee with McCormick, Fetterman continues to vote for most Democratic priorities in the Senate. He has explicitly stated that he will "never" switch parties.
