Leon Black Sues Representative Robert Garcia for Defamation

Leon Black, co-founder of Apollo Global Management, filed a defamation lawsuit against U.S. Representative Robert Garcia. Black alleges that Garcia made false public statements regarding his relationship with sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, specifically claiming that Black was the "center of Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes."

The legal action follows a voluntary interview Black gave to the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform in June. During that testimony, Black stated he had no knowledge of and took no part in the crimes committed by Epstein.
