IBM and Google Cloud Launch AI Practice for Enterprises

IBM and Google Cloud have established a new Google Cloud Practice designed to help organizations scale artificial intelligence into production and modernize legacy systems. The strategic partnership integrates IBM Consulting Advantage, an AI-powered delivery platform, with Google Cloud's Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, cybersecurity, and data capabilities.

This collaboration allows IBM consultants to design, build, and govern enterprise-grade AI agents directly on Google Cloud. IBM is developing a portfolio of industry-specific AI agents for sectors including banking, government, retail, telecommunications, energy, security, insurance, and life sciences. Priority areas include cybersecurity operations modernization, hybrid cloud modernization via Red Hat OpenShift, and the integration of Gemini with IBM watsonx Orchestrate and watsonx.data.

The two companies have previously collaborated on a project for Airbus SE, which transitioned two aerospace businesses into independent operations in under 18 months. The new practice aims to meet surging demand for AI consultants and move clients beyond initial pilots into production-grade deployments across cloud environments.
