Voter Reports Recording Error in Osun State Election

David Adesina alleged a vote recording error during the Osun State governorship election, claiming a polling official initially undercounted votes for the Accord Party.

A resident of Osun State, David Adesina, reported a vote recording error during the governorship election held on August 15, 2026. Adesina alleged that a National Youth Service Corps member at one polling unit incorrectly recorded 12 votes for the Accord Party instead of the actual 212 votes, while the All Progressives Congress received 107 votes.

According to Adesina, witnesses at the scene identified the mistake, which was subsequently corrected and signed. He issued a public appeal for the incident to be documented to ensure no further alterations are made to the results.

The Independent National Electoral Commission is currently managing the voting and collation process across the state.
