Polymarket Hires Former Goldman Sachs Partner to Lead Institutional Growth

Polymarket appointed Lisa Mantil as its head of institutional growth to attract liquidity from Wall Street. Mantil, a former Goldman Sachs partner and global head of the bank's ETF accelerator, joins the company as it seeks to integrate prediction markets into professional investment and risk-management strategies.

This hire follows the May launch of the company's U.S. exchange and the recent appointment of Warren Jenson as chief financial officer. While retail traders have driven recent volume surges, Polymarket is increasingly targeting large-scale institutional traders to compete with rivals like Kalshi.

Polymarket's international platform has already conducted block trades. The company is now nearing the ability to offer similar private, large-scale transactions on its domestic U.S. exchange.
