Rocket Lab Targets Late 2026 for Neutron Rocket Launch
Rocket Lab plans to launch its larger Neutron rocket by the fourth quarter of 2026 to expand payload capacity and growth opportunities.
Rocket Lab USA, Inc. is preparing for the debut of its Neutron rocket, currently scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026. The company noted that this timeline may extend into 2027 as it prioritizes system readiness over a rushed schedule.
CEO Peter Beck stated that the company is focusing on ensuring the rocket enters service as a system ready for full-scale production and high cadence launch. The Neutron rocket is designed to carry larger payloads, which the company expects will unlock new growth opportunities.
Despite stock gains of over 85% over the past year, the company continues to operate in a capital-intensive environment. Rocket Lab expects an adjusted EBITDA loss of at least $17 million for the current period, while anticipating gross profit margins of approximately 30%.
