Beats Launches 360 Over-Ear Headphones for Active Use
Beats released the Beats 360 premium over-ear headphones featuring sweat resistance, customizable cushions, and enhanced noise cancellation for $349.99.
Beats by Dre launched the Beats 360 premium over-ear headphones on September 22, 2026, priced at $349.99 (£299.95) in Western markets and ₹42,900 in India. The device is the brand's first over-ear model designed for workouts, featuring an IPX4 sweat and water-resistance rating and a lightweight plastic design. Retail and in-store availability begins September 24.
The headphones utilize a fourth-generation proprietary Beats chipset and a custom audio platform with dual neodymium ring magnet drivers and nine microphones. This architecture ensures compatibility across both Apple and Android ecosystems, supporting Siri, Find My integration, and Dolby Atmos. Beats claims the active noise cancellation is 1.75 times stronger than the Beats Studio Pro, providing up to 32 hours of battery life with ANC and spatial audio enabled. A notable hardware limitation is the lack of wired connectivity, as the USB-C port is reserved for charging.
A central feature is the interchangeable cushion system for the ear cups and headband. Users can switch between Performance Knit for exercise and UltraPlush leatherette for general use, with the device automatically adjusting its acoustic tuning based on the installed configuration. To support the launch, Beats reduced the price of the Beats Studio Pro and offered limited-time discounts on additional cushion kits, lowering the price from $49.99 to $9.99 through October 31 in select markets.
