China Extends High Tariffs on US n-Propanol Imports
China will extend anti-dumping and anti-subsidy duties on n-Propanol imports from the United States for five years starting November 7, 2026.
The Ministry of Commerce of China will extend anti-dumping and anti-subsidy duties on imports of n-Propanol (NPA) from the United States for five years. The measures take effect November 7, 2026, following expiry reviews requested by domestic producers.
Anti-dumping duties will range from 254.4 percent to 267.4 percent, while anti-subsidy duties will range from 34.2 percent to 37.7 percent. These duties were first imposed in November 2020.
The ministry determined that lifting the tariffs would allow dumping and subsidization to continue or recur, which would cause persistent damage to the domestic chemical industry. NPA is used primarily as a chemical manufacturing intermediate and industrial solvent.
