Kaynes Technology Expands Semiconductor Services Into Japanese Market

Kaynes Technology is targeting Japanese automotive chipmakers by deploying sales teams and utilizing its new Gujarat production facility for semiconductor assembly.

Kaynes Technology, an Indian electronics manufacturing firm, is expanding its semiconductor assembly services into the Japanese market. Through its subsidiary, Kaynes Semicon, the company is specifically targeting orders from Japanese automotive chipmakers to grow its international customer base.

To facilitate this expansion, the company has deployed sales representatives in Japan and intends to ship product samples during fiscal 2026. The operational core of this effort is a back-end processing facility in Gujarat, India, which entered mass production in the spring of 2026. This facility was established using subsidies provided by the Government of India as part of the Make in India campaign.

Kaynes is employing strategic partnerships to integrate into the Japanese ecosystem. The company is collaborating with Aoi Electronics to set up production lines and working with Mitsui to manage materials procurement.
