Meta AI Agent Muse Reaches 10 Million Users
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced that the Muse AI agent has reached 10 million users and will soon integrate with smart glasses.
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced during a third-quarter earnings call that the company's personal AI agent app, Muse, has reached over 10 million users in the United States and Canada since its September launch. Shopping has become the most frequent use case, with more than 25% of users making purchases that average over $200. Other primary applications include personal productivity tasks such as calendar and email integration.
Meta plans to monetize Muse through paid subscriptions for power users and transaction fees from commerce tools. The company forecasts that Muse will eventually generate more revenue per user than its core family of apps. Zuckerberg also revealed that Muse will integrate with Meta's smart glasses next month and teased a Muse network to enable communication between different AI agents.
While the company expands its AI offerings, it faces significant legal setbacks. A judge in New Mexico ordered Meta to pay $25 billion for failing to prevent misinformation on Facebook and misleading users regarding the handling of their data.
