SEALSQ to Acquire Satellite Capacity for Quantum Cloud
SEALSQ Corp signed a binding agreement to acquire satellite capacity from WISeSat.Space to build a quantum-secured orbital cloud platform.
SEALSQ Corp signed a binding letter of intent to acquire satellite capacity from 12 satellites owned by its sister company, WISeSat.Space Holdings Corp. The deal, valued at approximately $15 million over the next 18 months, provides SEALSQ with access to mission control, ground segment, and operational support services.
This infrastructure serves as the foundation for the Quantum Spatial Orbital Cloud (QSOC). The platform integrates semiconductor security, digital identity, and cryptographic-key management into space-enabled services. SEALSQ plans to commercialize the security-services layer of QSOC to generate recurring subscription revenue from government and enterprise clients.
The long-term roadmap for QSOC includes the potential deployment of up to 100 satellites by 2033, pending regulatory approvals and financing. Carlos Moreira, Chairman and CEO of both SEALSQ and WISeSat.Space, stated the agreement is a concrete step toward moving the project from vision into infrastructure.
