Renault and Geely Invest 319 Million Euros in Brazil

Renault Group and Geely announced a 319 million euro investment in Brazil through their joint venture to expand their industrial partnership. This funding increases the total planned investment by the two companies in the country to 899 million euros between 2025 and 2027.

The agreement grants Geely access to the existing assembly plant and dealership network of Renault. In return, Renault will increase its plant capacity and expand its vehicle portfolio. As part of this strategic plan, Renault will begin producing its Hybrid E-Tech 4x4 flex-fuel technology in Brazil in 2027.

The expansion is a direct response to the growing market share of BYD in Latin America, where the Chinese automaker has gained ground using affordable plug-in hybrid and electric models.
