OpenAI Hires xAI Sales Lead for Cybersecurity Business

OpenAI hired Graham Seamans to lead sales for its cybersecurity business. Seamans joins the company from xAI, the artificial intelligence venture founded by Elon Musk, where he served as the head of the sales team.

At xAI, Seamans led efforts to sell the Grok chatbot to Wall Street starting in August 2025. Before his tenure at xAI, he spent approximately eight years at MongoDB Inc.

The appointment is part of a broader trend of OpenAI recruiting sales executives from the AI units of SpaceX.
