Rajnath Singh Unveils 10-Year Raksha Defence Diplomacy Roadmap

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh unveiled a 10-year defence diplomacy roadmap titled Raksha in New Delhi on Thursday. The strategic document outlines a shift toward proactive global cooperation to align India's national security objectives with long-term international stability.

The Raksha framework is built upon four primary pillars: deepening bilateral and multilateral strategic partnerships, expanding capacity building through joint military exercises and training, promoting indigenous Make-in-India defence exports to establish the country as a global manufacturing hub, and reinforcing India's role as a net security provider in the Indian Ocean region.

By positioning itself as a first responder in the Indian Ocean, India aims to maintain a rule-based order amid a shifting global landscape. The Ministry of Defence stated that the roadmap is designed to position the nation as an anchor of peace and stability.
