Early in-person voting began across Southern California on October 24 for the November 3 general election. In Los Angeles County, Dean Logan managed the opening of an initial 123 vote centers, with 523 more scheduled to open on October 31 to reach a total of 646 locations. San Diego County opened 41 centers on Saturday, with an additional 180 opening on October 31 to bring its total to 221.
Mail-in ballots were distributed starting October 1 to registered voters in Los Angeles, Ventura, Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties. While city and county clerks encouraged residents to use early voting and drop boxes to ensure their ballots are cast, the community group Inner City Struggle raised concerns regarding potential voter intimidation. The November 3 ballot includes contests for governor, statewide offices, congressional and state legislative seats, and various local measures.
