South Carolina begins early voting on October 19 for the Statewide General Election, requiring voters to present a valid photo ID to cast ballots.
The Government of South Carolina will open early voting centers for the Statewide General Election starting Monday, October 19. The early voting window runs through October 31, with polling centers operating Monday through Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. All centers will be closed on Sunday, October 25.
Eligible voters can cast ballots in person at early voting centers without providing a specific reason. To vote, individuals must present a valid photo ID, such as a U.S. passport, federal military ID, or a South Carolina driver's license.
The voter registration deadline for the cycle passed on October 4. The general election is scheduled for Tuesday, November 3.
