HMD Unveils Nokia 2360 Flip 2G Feature Phone

HMD launched the Nokia 2360 Flip, a 2G clamshell phone featuring remote family management and emergency SOS tools for seniors and students.

HMD unveiled the Nokia 2360 Flip, a 2G clamshell feature phone designed for senior citizens, students, and users seeking simplicity. The device features a 2.8-inch main display, a 1.77-inch secondary external screen, and a physical keypad.

Safety and accessibility are central to the device, which includes a dedicated SOS button on the rear casing. This button triggers an automated call to a primary contact and sends text alerts to up to five recipients. For younger users, a School Mode restricts phone usage to the clock and emergency calls via a contact whitelist.

The phone introduces a Family Assist system, allowing authorized family members to remotely manage settings, add contacts, and schedule reminders through a free Android or iOS app using SMS. Technical specifications include a removable 1,450mAh battery providing up to 15 days of standby time, a QVGA camera, and 4MB of internal storage expandable via MicroSD.

The handset will be available in Charcoal, Teal, and Burgundy Red and utilizes a USB Type-C port. Because the device is limited to 2G GSM networks, it will not function in regions where 2G services have been discontinued. HMD has not yet released pricing or specific availability details for target markets, including India.
