Amazon Launches Prime Delivery and Fulfillment Discounts for Merchants
Amazon introduced new supply chain services allowing U.S. merchants to offer free Prime delivery on their own websites and receive fulfillment fee discounts.
Amazon.com launched two new Amazon Supply Chain Services offerings designed to help U.S. merchants expand their sales channels. The first service enables merchants using Multichannel Fulfillment to integrate the Prime badge and fast, free Prime delivery directly onto their own websites at no additional cost. This integration verifies Prime membership after checkout and requires no changes to store policies or payment processing.
The second offering, the MCF Preferred Pricing Program, provides Fulfillment by Amazon sellers with discounts between 15% and 25% on fulfillment fees for orders placed via social media, marketplaces, and independent websites for the first six months.
Amazon reports that merchants utilizing both Multichannel Fulfillment and Fulfillment by Amazon have experienced an average 18% increase in revenue on off-Amazon channels and a 19% reduction in out-of-stock rates. Peter Larsen, Vice President of Amazon Supply Chain Services, stated that the tools provide merchants with two ways to grow through delivery options and deeper fulfillment discounts.
