WeRide Partners With GreenMobility to Launch Denmark Robotaxis

WeRide and GreenMobility announced a strategic partnership on August 3, 2026, to deploy Level 4 autonomous shared mobility services in Denmark. The collaboration combines WeRide's self-driving technology with GreenMobility's local fleet operations and aims to launch public robotaxi services in the first half of 2027 using the EU-compliant GXR vehicle.

To ensure regulatory compliance, the companies are cooperating with the Danish Road Directorate and the Danish Road Traffic Authority. This move marks WeRide's first entry into the Nordic region and its sixth European market, following expansions into France, Belgium, Switzerland, Spain, and Slovakia.

The expansion is part of an asset-light global strategy by the Chinese firm to commercialize its technology in overseas markets, including Europe and the Gulf region. This strategy helps the company counter rising competition and regulatory scrutiny within China.
