Global Vision International Shuts Down After 28 Years
Global Vision International ceased operations and entered liquidation, cancelling all conservation travel programs and leaving customers to lodge claims.
Global Vision International (GVI), an Exeter-based travel company specializing in nature and conservation programs, has ceased operations after 28 years in business. Andrew Valentine, the company's CEO, announced that the organization is entering a formal liquidation process, resulting in the immediate cancellation of all current and future programs.
Staff on the ground are currently assisting participants in departing from GVI bases in various locations, including Fiji and Costa Rica. Affected customers will receive formal correspondence providing instructions on how to lodge claims through the liquidation proceedings.
The collapse occurs amid a broader downturn in the UK travel sector during 2026. GVI is the tenth UK travel company to close this year, following the failure of nine other agencies and four airlines, including EcoJet Airlines and Ascend Airways.
