Dubai Real Estate Investment Surges 52% in Early 2026

Dubai's real estate sector saw investment value rise 52% in the first half of 2026, with high demand driving absorption rates for upcoming home deliveries.

Dubai's real estate sector experienced significant growth during the first half of 2026, with the completion of 104 projects representing a total investment value exceeding AED 111 billion ($30.22 billion). This represents a 52% increase in investment value and a 38.7% increase in completed projects compared to the first half of 2025. Residential supply also rose by 36% over the previous year, adding 24,537 new units, while the value of land allocated to projects surged more than 135% to AED 19.46 billion.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum stated that these figures demonstrate progress toward the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which aims to double the city's economy by 2033. He characterized the growth as a "renewed vote of confidence" from global investors in the city's economic environment, legislative framework, and infrastructure.

Market demand remains high, with 82.9% of the 96,585 homes scheduled for handover in 2026 already sold. Analysis from fäm Properties indicates that villas have a 95% absorption rate for 2026 deliveries, while apartments stand at 82%. Certain areas, including Al Wasl and Wadi Al Safa 5, have reached 100% absorption. The broader construction pipeline includes 564,072 residential properties currently under development, 75.5% of which are already sold. This expansion is supported by a population exceeding 4.58 million and a concentration of more than 80,000 millionaires in the city.
