These incidents coincide with an escalating legal battle with Elon Musk. Musk amended his lawsuit against OpenAI and Microsoft just weeks before an April 27 trial in Oakland, California. In the revised filing, Musk seeks to remove Altman and President Greg Brockman from their leadership roles and strip them of their equity. While Musk originally sought up to $150 billion in damages, his legal team now claims he is not seeking personal funds, but rather that any award be redirected to OpenAI's charitable arm.
