UAE Sends 83 Tonnes of Aid to Flood-Hit Nepal

The United Arab Emirates dispatched an aircraft carrying 83 tonnes of urgent relief aid to Nepal on August 31, 2026. The shipment, which includes food supplies, shelter materials, and humanitarian essentials, aims to assist victims of recent floods and landslides that caused dozens of deaths and extensive damage.

This humanitarian response follows directives from President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to allocate US$10 million for relief efforts to support early recovery and stability for affected populations.

The UAE Aid Agency is coordinating the delivery of supplies with the UAE Embassy in Nepal and local authorities. The agency is also collaborating with international organizations to strengthen relief efforts in the disaster-stricken areas.
