Florida Gas Prices Drop 34 Cents Per Gallon
AAA reports Florida gas prices fell to an average of $4.08 per gallon following a nearly 10% drop in crude oil costs.
AAA reported that gas prices in Florida decreased by 34 cents per gallon over a nine-day period ending Sunday, October 4, 2026. The statewide average fell to $4.08 per gallon on Sunday, with some data indicating a further slight dip to $4.06 by Monday.
The decline follows a nearly 10% drop in crude oil prices over two weeks, which fell from over $100 per barrel in mid-September to $91.11 on Friday. Despite this recent trend, current prices remain 13 cents higher than they were one month ago and $1.03 higher than during the same period last year.
Regional price variations persist across the state. West Palm Beach-Boca Raton recorded the highest averages at $4.28, while Pensacola saw the lowest at $3.92. Florida's statewide average remains below the national average of $4.37 reported as of Sunday.
