USS Abraham Lincoln Returns After Record 250-Day Deployment

The USS Abraham Lincoln, a San Diego-based aircraft carrier, sailed past Singapore early Sunday morning while returning to the United States from a deployment in the Middle East. The vessel spent a record-setting 250 consecutive days uninterrupted at sea supporting the U.S. war against Iran.

Reports indicate the lengthy deployment caused shortages of food and hygiene products and led to deteriorating mental health among the crew. The carrier is expected to dock at Laem Chabang Port in Thailand on Wednesday for rest and recovery, with a possible subsequent stop in Guam to replenish supplies. The ship is not expected to arrive at Naval Air Station North Island until late September.

As the carrier returns, the United States Navy is preparing the USS Theodore Roosevelt for deployment, with the vessel expected to depart San Diego within the next seven to 10 days.
