Rohit Pawar Alleges MPSC Drug Inspector Exam Paper Leak

Nationalist Congress Party (SP) MLA Rohit Pawar alleges that the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) recruitment examination for Food and Drug Administration Drug Inspector posts was leaked. According to Pawar and whistleblower Rishikesh Gangurde, a person responsible for setting the exam was compromised, allowing the Kautilya Academy, a coaching institute in Nandurbar, to provide students with approximately 90 of the 200 exam questions two days before the March 22 test. Pawar claims the materials were circulated via WhatsApp for payment and deleted quickly to erase the evidence trail.

Gangurde, who provided evidence on July 23, asserts that these questions were distributed under the guise of guess papers on March 20. He is calling for a forensic probe into mobile phones and coaching networks to uncover the leak chain. Pawar has demanded a transparent, time-bound investigation and expects a report within 10 to 15 days. He further criticized the Government of Maharashtra for failing to pass a comprehensive anti-paper leak law, noting that previous legislative proposals remain pending.

The MPSC stated it is verifying the evidence and statements and will file a formal police complaint if the claims are confirmed. However, the commission also noted that the original complainant had previously described the initial grievance as a misunderstanding.
