ASML to Raise Maintenance Prices and Expand EUV Capacity
ASML Holding N.V. will increase maintenance costs for Samsung and SK hynix while expanding EUV system production by 30% by 2027.
ASML Holding N.V. will implement a 10% price increase on all replacement and maintenance parts for Samsung Electronics and SK hynix starting in January. The company is also planning to increase production capacity for its existing extreme ultraviolet (EUV) systems by approximately 30% by 2027 to support accelerating customer expansion plans.
These moves come as the company prepares to report third-quarter earnings on October 14. Analysts expect significant growth in revenue and earnings, fueled by the demand for artificial intelligence chips. ASML previously provided third-quarter revenue guidance between 11 billion and 12 billion euros and raised its full-year revenue outlook to between 43 billion and 45 billion euros.
Major semiconductor manufacturers continue to integrate ASML technology into their roadmaps. Intel has already used High-NA EUV technology to process over 1 million wafers, while Samsung Electronics plans to utilize High-NA EUV for DRAM production by 2028. TSMC also remains reliant on ASML EUV equipment for the production of advanced chips.
