Geely Enters Australia's Top 10 Best-Selling Car Brands

Geely entered the top 10 best-selling car brands in Australia for July 2026, capturing 3.6 percent of total new car sales. Since its launch in March 2025, the Chinese automotive company has grown by more than 500 percent compared to the same period in 2025.

Growth is driven by three primary models: the EX5, which has achieved nearly 9,000 sales this year; the EX2 hatch, launched in late July at $26,490; and the Starray Em-i plug-in hybrid SUV.

Geely plans a methodical expansion through 2027. The company intends to introduce a mid-size SUV, a large SUV, and an Emgrand plug-in hybrid sedan in the first half of 2027, followed by the Galaxy Cruiser 4WD by the end of next year.
