TalkTV Faces Backlash Over Undisclosed Reform UK Ties

TalkTV is facing criticism for failing to disclose that journalist Christian Drogan, who crossed the English Channel in a small boat for a documentary, is a member and activist of the Reform UK party. The documentary, titled "Invading Britain: The Undercover Migrant Returns," details Drogan's year-long effort to enter England from France.

Media critic Mic Wright argued that omitting Drogan's political affiliation is deceptive because the investigation aligns with Reform UK's campaigning lines. While most outlets omitted these ties, The Times noted that Drogan has campaigned for the party. Drogan defended his actions as an attempt to document issues others prefer to hide.

Isabel Oakeshott, TalkTV's international editor and wife of Reform deputy leader Richard Tice, rejected the criticism. She stated that Drogan's voting preferences are his own business and that the footage speaks for itself. Reform UK leader Nigel Farage praised the documentary's characterization of the crossings as a national security emergency.
