Pentagon Signs Seven-Year Missile Production Deals With Defense Firms

The United States Department of Defense signed seven-year agreements with Lockheed Martin and General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems to expand the production of critical missile systems. The contracts focus on increasing production quantities and accelerating delivery schedules for subcomponents used in two primary interceptor programs.

These agreements target the Patriot Advanced Capability-3 Missile Segment Enhancement (PAC-3 MSE) and the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) programs. By securing long-term commitments from these defense contractors, the Pentagon aims to stabilize the supply chain and ensure a more rapid deployment of interceptor capabilities.
