U.S. IPO Market Hits Record $137 Billion in 2026

The U.S. IPO market is on track for a record year after traditional offerings raised $137 billion, with AI firm Anthropic preparing a massive debut.

The U.S. initial public offering market is on track for a record-breaking year, with traditional offerings already raising $137 billion. This surge follows a successful $86 billion offering by Space Exploration Technologies Corp. in June, which emboldened other high-profile companies to pursue public listings.

Several major firms are preparing to debut after Labor Day. AI company Anthropic is expected to raise up to $100 billion in a potential September or October listing. Other companies weighing offerings later this year include smart-ring maker Oura, neo cloud company Nscale, and data center operators Switch and SB Energy Global Holdings Ltd.

Longer-term plans include Inspire Brands, the owner of Dunkin’ and Arby’s, which is considering a listing by the end of 2026 or early 2027. OpenAI has also been considering a debut within that same timeframe. Unlike the 2021 IPO boom, the 2026 class is showing stronger stability, with companies trading up 21% on average from their initial prices according to Dealogic data.
