Flex entered into a definitive agreement to acquire EPC Power Corp. for $4.4 billion. The deal integrates EPC Power's 800-volt data center power architectures, including digital rectifiers and solid-state transformers, into the Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment of Flex.
EPC Power specializes in power conversion solutions for utility-scale energy storage, microgrids, and data centers. The company was previously backed by Cleanhill Partners and Goldman Sachs Alternatives. The acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals, with completion expected in the fourth quarter of 2026.
Jim Fusaro, CEO of EPC Power, stated that the company's achievements over the last four years showed the power of shared commitment to innovation. Alexander Mass of Goldman Sachs Alternatives praised the partnership for helping EPC Power launch new product platforms and increase domestic manufacturing in the United States to address AI power architecture challenges.
