Huawei Launches FreeClip 2 S Earbuds and MatePad Air 2026
Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. introduced the FreeClip 2 S Signature Edition earbuds and the MatePad Air 2026 tablet during a launch event in Malaysia.
Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. announced the global launch of the FreeClip 2 S Signature Edition earbuds and the MatePad Air (2026) at an event in Malaysia. The FreeClip 2 S features a third-generation audio chip with a dedicated NPU and an updated Adaptive Volume algorithm that adjusts audio in real time based on ambient noise. The earbuds include new color options and a collaboration with the French jewelry house Les Néréides for clip-on accessories.
The MatePad Air (2026) replaces the previous generation's LCD panel with a 12-inch OLED PaperMatte display. The tablet uses a Kirin T93C chipset and runs HarmonyOS 4.3, while maintaining a 10,100 mAh battery with 66W fast charging.
Pricing for the MatePad Air starts at €849 for the base 8GB/256GB non-PaperMatte model. The FreeClip 2 S is available at a promotional price of £169, or $226, from July 14 until August 17.
