UAE and Qatar Raise June 2026 Petrol Prices
The UAE and Qatar increased petrol prices for June 2026, citing volatile global oil benchmarks influenced by the US-Iran war.
The UAE Fuel Price Committee and QatarEnergy announced fuel price adjustments for June 2026, with both nations raising costs for various petrol grades. In the UAE, petrol prices rose for the fourth consecutive month, with Super 98 increasing to AED 3.95, Special 95 to AED 3.83, and E-Plus 91 to AED 3.76 per litre. Conversely, the UAE decreased diesel prices to AED 4.33 per litre to support logistics and supply chain stability.
In Qatar, QatarEnergy raised the price of premium-grade petrol to QR2 per liter from QR1.90. Prices for super-grade petrol and diesel in Qatar remained unchanged at QR2.10 and QR2.05 per liter, respectively.
Both countries utilize pricing mechanisms tied to international market benchmarks. The UAE's adjustments follow a flexible system managed by the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, while QatarEnergy pegs its monthly lists to the international market under Ministry of Energy policy. Officials attributed the current volatility in global benchmarks to the US-Iran war and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
