Visa Launches AI Framework to Accelerate Cyber Vulnerability Remediation
Visa released an updated AI-powered cybersecurity framework and expanded its advisory services to help organizations reduce the time needed to remediate security vulnerabilities.
Visa announced enhancements to its cybersecurity portfolio on August 28, 2026, focusing on the transition from vulnerability discovery to validated remediation. The company released an updated version of the Visa Vulnerability Agentic Harness (VVAH), an open-source, model-agnostic framework designed to reduce the Mean Time to Adapt (MTTA). This AI-powered tool aims to shrink resolution times for security flaws from weeks to hours.
To support the rollout, Visa Consulting & Analytics expanded its Cybersecurity Advisory Practice with three new services: AI Cyber Leadership Education, VVAH-Informed Cybersecurity Maturity Assessments, and VVAH Cyber Risk Prioritisation and Roadmaps. The company is also collaborating with NVIDIA's Open Secure AI Alliance and the IBM and Red Hat Project Lightwell to secure open-source software and establish safe AI practices.
Financial institutions have already begun utilizing these tools. CAIXA Cartões Holding S.A. partnered with Visa for a cybersecurity maturity assessment to strengthen its operational resilience. Prateek Sanghi, head of Visa Consulting & Analytics for Asia Pacific, noted that AI is accelerating both the scale of threats and the speed of exploitation, making the ability to adapt more critical than simply identifying vulnerabilities.
