Transwestern Pipeline postponed the start of its Green Chile Project in New Mexico to February 2027, delaying gas delivery to a new Oracle AI data center.

Transwestern Pipeline, a subsidiary of Energy Transfer LP, has postponed the start date of the Green Chile Project natural gas pipeline in New Mexico. Originally scheduled to begin service on August 15, 2026, the pipeline is now expected to enter service on February 1, 2027.

The project is designed to provide up to 400,000 million dekatherms per day of firm transportation capacity. This infrastructure is intended to power a new artificial intelligence and data center facility operated by Oracle Corp. in Doña Ana County.

Transwestern Pipeline is currently seeking authorization from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to construct, install, own, maintain, and operate the facilities under its blanket certificate.
