Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf Appoints 19 Kano State Permanent Secretaries

Abba Kabir Yusuf, the Executive Governor of Kano State, approved the appointment of 19 new permanent secretaries and the redeployment of 14 serving permanent secretaries across various ministries, departments, and agencies. These administrative changes follow the promotion of several directors and are intended to re-strengthen government machinery while improving service delivery.

Hajiya Bilkisu Shehu-Maimota, the Head of Civil Service of Kano State, announced that the postings take immediate effect. She specified that all affected officials must complete their handover processes by August 12, 2026.
