Anthropic Launches Claude Desktop Beta for Linux and Enterprise
Anthropic expanded Claude Desktop availability with a Linux beta and new deployment options for AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Foundry enterprise customers.
Anthropic expanded the reach of its Claude Desktop application by launching a beta version for Linux and introducing advanced enterprise deployment options. The Linux beta supports Ubuntu 22.04 and Debian 12 or later on x86_64 and arm64 systems, providing users with Chat, Cowork, and Code tabs, although it currently excludes voice input and the Computer Use feature.
For corporate clients, the company introduced new deployment pathways for organizations utilizing Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Foundry. These updates prioritize administrative control, allowing IT teams to manage user access through single sign-on and specific policy keys for various functions.
To improve data connectivity, Anthropic integrated a Microsoft 365 connector. This tool enables secure access to emails and documents via a customer's Entra application, including beta support for Department of Defense and GCC High endpoints.
