Pakistan and Sudan Sign Visa-Free Travel Agreement

Pakistan and Sudan signed a visa-free travel pact for diplomatic passport holders and agreed to expand cooperation in security, cybercrime, and police training.

Pakistan and Sudan signed a visa-free travel agreement on November 7, 2026, in Islamabad, exempting holders of official and diplomatic passports from visa requirements. The pact was signed by Pakistani Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Sudanese Interior Minister Lieutenant General Babiker Samra Mustafa Ali.

Beyond travel, the two nations reached an understanding to sign a formal memorandum of understanding to combat cybercrime. They also agreed to expand bilateral cooperation in security, internal affairs, and professional training for Sudanese police officers. Naqvi offered Pakistan's full support for Sudan's peace-building and reconstruction efforts and directed authorities to immediately resolve visa issues for Sudanese women married to Pakistani nationals.

Pakistan further pledged to facilitate medical treatment for Sudanese citizens and continue assistance in civil registration. The National Database and Registration Authority has already supported Sudan in issuing 36 million citizenship cards and 18 million birth certificates.
