Raymond James Upgrades MACOM Technology Solutions to Outperform

Raymond James upgraded MACOM Technology Solutions to Outperform with a $300 price target following a significant decline in the company's share price.

Financial services firm Raymond James upgraded MACOM Technology Solutions from Market Perform to Outperform, setting a price target of $300. The upgrade follows a period of volatility in which MACOM shares plunged between 30% and 35% from early October through October 22. Analyst Melissa Fairbanks attributed this decline to broad AI rotations in the market and characterized the price drop as a buying opportunity.

Raymond James cited the company's lean operating structure and direct exposure to secular growth catalysts in space, defense, communications, and the datacenter segment. Fiscal 2027 estimates project approximately 40% revenue growth and over 60% bottom line expansion. This outlook follows fiscal third-quarter results where MACOM exceeded expectations with revenue of $342.2 million and adjusted earnings of $1.40 per share.

Other institutions have signaled similar confidence. BMO Capital Markets upgraded the stock to Outperform, citing attractive valuations after a 36% price drop since May, while Jefferies identified the company as a key player in the 1.6T technology architecture transition. Currently, 16 of 19 analysts rate the company as a buy or strong buy.
