BHP Group Chief Commercial Officer Rag Udd to Depart
Rag Udd will leave his role as Chief Commercial Officer of BHP Group at the end of January after nearly three decades with the company.
Rag Udd, the Chief Commercial Officer of BHP Group, will depart the company at the end of January. Udd joined the firm as a mining engineer in 1997 and has served as CCO since 2024, where he managed procurement, marketing, and sales.
During his tenure as CCO, Udd handled a months-long dispute with the state-backed iron ore buyer China Mineral Resources Group Co., Ltd. The conflict involved product restrictions that persisted until a settlement was reached in April.
Udd was previously viewed as a potential successor to former chief executive Mike Henry. However, the position was filled by Brandon Craig in July. Craig confirmed Udd's upcoming departure in an internal memo to the company.
